Getting Started & General Use

For most of our 7V and 12V apparel, press and hold the power button on the garment's temperature controller for 3 seconds to turn it on. The gear will light up, usually indicating the highest heat setting. To cycle through the different heat levels, simply click the button once. Each click will change the setting.

The colors indicate the current heat level.

  • For 7V Apparel: Red = High, White = Medium, Blue = Low.
  • For 12V Motorcycle Gear: Red = High, Yellow = Medium, Green = Low.

Yes. Your safety is our top priority. Our products use low-voltage heating systems and include multiple safety features like specific fuses for our motorcycle gear and waterproof connectors for our diving line. We always recommend reading your user manual thoroughly and following all safety guidelines, such as using our gear as a mid-layer and never on bare skin.

7V Battery Powered Apparel

Our 7V line is powered by a small, rechargeable 7-Volt Li-ion battery. This makes the gear completely portable and perfect for a wide range of activities.

Yes! Our 7V products are Bluetooth-enabled. Simply download the AddHeat App from the App Store or Google Play to pair your gear and control the temperature directly from your smartphone.

You can purchase extra batteries directly from our website. Visit ventureheat.com/750battery or scan the QR code on your product tag to find the correct battery.

12V Motorcycle Gear

The primary power source is your motorcycle’s 12V battery. Our gear connects directly to it using the included Battery Harness. For some items, like gloves, you have the option to use a separate, portable 12V rechargeable battery pack.

Absolutely. Our 12V system is designed for interconnectivity. You can connect your heated gloves to the sleeves of your heated jacket liner, and your heated socks to the legs of your heated pant liner. This allows you to power a full-body heated suit with a single connection to your bike. A Y-Splitter (sold separately) is required to run a jacket and pants liner simultaneously.

Yes, this is critical for safety. Each piece of gear or combination requires a specific fuse. For example, running a full heated suit (jacket, pants, gloves) requires a 15A fuse, while running only gloves requires a 3A fuse. Please consult your user guide to ensure you are using the correct fuse for your specific setup.

You just need to ensure your bike's electrical system has enough available amperage to support the heated gear you intend to use. If you are unsure, especially with older bikes or smaller alternators, we strongly recommend consulting your dealer or a qualified mechanic.

No, this is our "Pre-Heat" feature working as intended! The gear starts on high for the first 5 minutes to warm up quickly, then automatically adjusts to the medium heat setting to provide consistent and comfortable warmth for your ride.

Heated Diving Gear

Our dive gear is controlled with a wireless Wristband Remote. The undersuit provides haptic feedback (vibrations) to confirm your selection:

  • Low Heat: 1 vibration
  • Medium Heat: 2 vibrations
  • High Heat: 3 vibrations

Your remote and suit may need to be paired. While they come paired from the factory, you can easily re-pair them. Place the remote within 6 inches of the suit's haptic feedback receiver. Follow the sequential pairing process detailed in your user manual. If the issue persists, ensure both the remote and the suit batteries are charged.

The suit's Li-ion batteries are charged using the Y-splitter charging harness. The Wristband Remote is charged separately on its charging stand using a USB-C cable.

Immediately rinse all equipment (undersuit, batteries, and wristband remote) with fresh water after every dive. This is crucial to remove salt deposits and prevent corrosion, which is not covered under warranty. Always cover the battery connectors with their protective waterproof caps after cleaning.

Care & Maintenance

Washing instructions vary by product, so please follow them carefully to protect your gear. Always remove the battery before washing.

  • 7V Apparel, 12V Jacket/Pant Liners, and Dive Undersuits: These items are machine washable. Place the garment in the included laundry bag, wash on a delicate/gentle cycle with cold water, and either tumble dry on low or lay flat to dry.
  • 12V Heated Gloves, Glove Liners, and Insoles: These items are SPOT CLEAN ONLY. Do not submerge them in water or put them in a washing machine.

Yes. Do NOT iron, bleach, or dry clean any Venture Heat apparel.

To maximize battery life, we recommend charging the battery at least once every 6 months, even during the off-season. Store batteries in a cool, dry place. For dive gear, always ensure the waterproof cap is securely fastened over the connector to prevent corrosion.

Traveling With Heated Gear

Yes, you can bring your heated clothing on an airplane. However, the batteries, especially if they are lithium-ion, have specific regulations. It's essential to check with your airline for their specific guidelines.

Batteries should be packed in your carry-on luggage. It's recommended to store them in their original packaging or in a protective case to prevent short circuits. Ensure the terminals are covered and that the batteries are not damaged.

If a battery shows signs of damage, swelling, or leakage, do not bring it on the plane. Damaged batteries can pose a significant fire risk. Dispose of the battery safely and according to local regulations.
