Step 2: Spot Clean

Inspect your heated jacket for any noticeable stains or spots. Use a mild detergent or stain remover and a clean cloth or sponge to gently spot clean the affected areas. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbing, as these can damage the fabric and heating elements. If no spots or stains are detected, you may skip this step.

How to store your heated clothing?

Proper storage of heated clothing is important to maintain its performance and longevity. Here are some tips on how to store your heated clothing:

  1. Clean the Clothing: Before storing your heated clothing, make sure it's clean and dry. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for washing and drying.

  2. Remove the Battery: Always remove the battery from your heated clothing before storing it. This helps to prevent any potential damage to the battery or the clothing during storage.

  3. Fold or Hang Properly: Fold your heated clothing neatly to avoid excessive creasing or wrinkling. Alternatively, if the clothing is suitable for hanging, use a padded hanger to help it retain its shape. Avoid hanging it near heat sources or in direct sunlight.

  4. Store in a Cool, Dry Place: Find a cool and dry location for storing your heated clothing. Moisture can damage the fabric and electrical components, so avoid storing it in damp areas like basements or attics. Ideally, use a clean, airtight container or garment bag to protect the clothing from dust and humidity.

  5. Check Periodically: Occasionally check on your stored heated clothing to ensure it remains in good condition. Inspect the fabric, seams, and electrical connections for any signs of damage or wear. If you notice any issues, contact the manufacturer for assistance.

By following these guidelines, you can properly store your heated clothing, ensuring it stays in good condition and is ready for use when needed.

*Bonus Tip for Battery Care: If you are storing your heated clothing away for the summer or for an extended period of time, we recommend that you set a reminder to re-charge your battery every 6 months during this time period to ensure you extend the life of your battery.
