Why Heat Therapy?

Heat Therapy

Heat therapy is one of the oldest forms of healing, and had been used successfully for centuries. the use of heat has proven to be beneficial for the reduction of pain, chronic non-inflammatory injuries,

Applications of heat therapy soothes and softens tissues around bones, muscles, and connective tissue. It decreases stiffness as well as the stiffness associated with injury, with notable increases in flexibility and overall feelings of calm and comfort. Heat Therapy is attractive to many because it is a non-invasive and non-pharmaceutical form of pain relief.

Heat aids in the relief of pain and in the accelerated repair of tissues on a cellular level by gently elevating temperature; increasing the extensibility of collagen tissues; decreasing joint stiffness; reducing pain; relieving muscle spasms; aiding in the post acute phase of healing; dilating blood vessels; and increasing the flow of blood (which brings proteins, nutrients, and oxygen for better healing). It is indicated for the relief of pain commonly associated with the following types of acute and chronic injuries: arthritis, sprains, carpal tunnel syndrome, post-surgical, etc.

Heat therapy is also ideal for other pains and injuries where tissues in our body are injured either by traumatic events or surgical events. Heat can help flush away toxins and lactic acids, which cause stiffness and discomfort, to help the patient enjoy an improved quality of life during injury recovery and rehabilitation. It will allow that person to do more of the normal activities while relieving stress to a person's movements by loosening-up joint stiffness and pain.

Heat therapy is recommended for, and aids with:
  • Sprains

  • Rhuematoid Arthritis
  • Tendonitis
  • Spondylitis
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Crohn's Disease
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Bursitis
  • Migraines
  • Constipation
  • Earaches
  • Golfer/Tennis Elbow
  • Hip Pain
  • Hypertension
  • Intestinal Cramps
  • Lactic Acid Build-Up

  • Whiplash healing

Far Infrared Ray (F.I.R.) Heat Therapy

The FIR heat therapy wrap system is designed to utilize heat in a more therapeutic setting for the patient. Compared to traditional heat therapies, FIR heat provides actual medical benefits and services. Since FIR is able to penetrate deep below the skin into the muscle and bones where the injury takes place, it is one of the most beneficial types of heat therapies available. It is also the safest for the skin because the temperature of the heating pad does not have to compensate for the poor tissue penetration abilities of other heat therapies.

In addition, it is difficult to achieve proper patient self-treatment compliance with simple tools such as a gel pack or a regular heating pad. As is often the case, patients do not correctly apply heat to a particular area to heal it. Controlling the temperature of the therapy is important to ensure that healing is efficient and more damage is not created from wrongly applying heat to an injury. Controlled therapy via a FIR heat therapy wraps improves patient compliance, avoids common complications, allows for much longer therapy periods and results in accelerated recoveries and longer sustained benefits. This temperature control is a key feature of the FIR heat system and a clear benefit over gel packs, traditional heating pads, or chemical heat packs. A common problem with heating pads, micro-waved packs, and chemical heat packs is that they exceed the maximum temperature a person's skin can handle and are often difficult to control as therapeutic tools. The FIR heat system is designed to deliver the maximum heat therapy at the user’s discretion and does not produce harmful electromagnetic waves.

Three Level Temperature Control and Automatic Timer

Our soothing and healing heat therapy wraps and pads features three different levels of heat to choose from, so that you have the right amount of heat for the kind of symptoms you wish to reduce. Our built-in temperature control is one of the many benefits of our Heat Therapy pads over other devices (such as those warmed up in a microwave) where it is possible to create too much heat.

Doctors and physical therapists generally recommend heat therapy be administered in 30-minute intervals. Our wraps are programmed and designed to automatically shut off after 30-minutes, so you'll receive the correct amount of therapy, every time you use it.

Once the automatic timer shuts off the device, if you desire more heat therapy, it can be turned back on by holding down the power button for 2-3 seconds, and a new 30-minute interval will begin.

Safety: Thermal Protection, Circuit Protection, and Low Voltage DC Electric Power

All our heat therapy devices have built-in thermal and circuit protection that will shut down the system if the temperature or the electrical current of the wrap exceeds factory settings.

In addition to those built-in safety devices, we use lower voltage that is safer than higher voltage. All of our heat therapy devices utilize low voltage Direct Current (DC) power. Our adapter converts 110V to safer 12V or 24V power, right at the wall outlet. This means there's little to no  risk for you while it still provides soothing, heated relief at the touch of a button. In addition to utilizing safer, low-voltage power, our wraps do not produce harmful electromagnetic waves.

Heats-Up in Seconds

When you need relief, you want it now. We won't make you wait: all of our heat therapy products heat up on demand. Within seconds of activation, you'll start feeling targeted F.I.R. heat delivered to where you need it most.

Flexible Carbon Fiber Heating Elements

Integrated carbon fiber heating elements are where the heat is generated in each one of our heat therapy wraps. We use only the best materials to construct our heat therapy wraps, and carbon-fiber is well known for its exceptional strength and flexibility. Additionally, carbon fiber has a high-rate of heat transfer, so our wraps heat-up faster than the competition, and are extremely corrosion resistant, which means they can be used in harsher environments than other wraps. Using carbon fiber allowed us to build a more durable wrap that can handle years of regular use in a variety of environments.

Freedom of Mobility

For many of our heat therapy wraps we offer an optional rechargeable 12V battery that allows you to enjoy heat therapy relief while on-the-go. This convenient battery will power your heat therapy wrap for up to five hours (depending on setting) at a time, and is small enough to fit in your pocket (it's about the size of a deck of cards).

This optional battery is fully rechargeable, and quickly charges in about 6 hours.
